The user limit
Everyone can always sign in to your platform, the user limit never blocks a sign-in. It decides who you receive data for. The first users of your domain, counted by their first sign-in across all your live apps, up to your plan’s limit, hold a seat. For them you receive the full identity, wallets, trading data and webhooks. Everyone beyond the limit still signs in, but you only receive an anonymous id that starts withanon_ and "limited": true, with no name, no wallets, no Data API data and no webhooks.
plan_user_limit when you pass such an anonymous id. When a seated user leaves, by removing access, being blocked by you or deleting their account, the seat is freed and the next person moves up. When you upgrade, more users get a seat and receive their real id and data the next time they sign in.
You receive an e-mail when your domain reaches 80 percent and 100 percent of its user limit. GET /v1/me shows how many users you currently receive data for.
Rate limits
The request rate is per API key and counted in fixed one-second windows. Every response carriesX-RateLimit-Limit and X-RateLimit-Remaining. Above the limit the API answers 429 rate_limit_exceeded with Retry-After: 1, wait a second and retry.
The live stream allows at most 5 connections per API key.
